2021 Vintage 1858

1858 is one of our signature blends that is named for the year that the Rose family purchased the farm on which our vineyard and winery reside.  It began as an experiment to try out a new blend, and over the years it has become a small batch representation of something interesting that Justin wants to showcase from each vintage.  The 2021 vintage celebrates our second harvest of our Tannat, which was a smaller crop due to late Spring frosts that year.

7 Barrels of Tannat & 2 Barrels of Petit Verdot

This wine has intense aromas of deep cherry, blackberry, plum, and violet.  This wine is still very young, and has the ability to be cellared for years to come.  So please, if you do plan on drinking it soon, do so responsibly:  decant it for at least 2 hours prior to serving.
