Graciano
A member of our Teaghlach Series Wines, this non-vintage Graciano is made from 2022 and 2023 vintages of Graciano, blended with a bit of Merlot.
In 2017 we decided to plant a test plot of some new red varietals, Grenache and Mourvedre, in the hopes that we might be able to add them to our Syrah for something a bit different and fun. Well, in 2020, with the help of our vineyard consultant Lucie, we discovered that what we had initially thought was Mourvedre, was actually a grape called Graciano. This grape is native to Northern Spain, in the Rioja region, and makes a deliciously smooth and refreshing medium-bodied red wine.
It has aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, purple plum, and licorice and is a delicious taste treat from our small planting.
